RRB Typing Test Calculation Formula

Mistakes Admissible : 5% of User Typed Words (If Errors are more than 5% than for every mistake a penalty of 10 words will be imposed)

Case 1 : If in the test of 10 minutes a candidate 'A' have typed total 340 words in which he/she made 6 Full Mistakes and 4 Half Mistakes then the calculation will be like:

Total Words Typed by Candidate = 340

Full Mistakes = 6

Half Mistakes = 4

Total Mistakes = (6 × 1 ) + (4 × 0.5) = 6 + 2 = 8

Ignored Mistakes (5% of 340) = 17

Total Mistakes are less then Ignored Mistakes so final count of mistakes will be 0.

WPM Speed = 340 - (0 × 10 ) / 10 = 34 WPM

Verdict = Qualified

Case 2 : If in the test of 10 minutes a candidate 'B' have typed total 360 Words in which he/she made 19 Full Mistakes and 11 Half Mistakes then the calculation will be like:

Total Words Typed by Candidate = 360

Full Mistakes = 29

Half Mistakes = 11

Total Mistakes = (29 × 1 ) + (11 × 0.5) = 29 + 5.5 = 34.5

Ignored Mistakes (5% of 360) = 18

Final count of mistakes = 34.5 - 18 = 16.5

WPM Speed = 360 - (16.5 × 10 ) / 10 = (360 - 165) / 10 = 195/10 = 19.5

Verdict = Not Qualified

Case 3 : If in the test of 10 minutes a candidate 'C' have typed total 282 Words in which he/she made 9 Full Mistakes and 4 Half Mistakes then the calculation will be like:

Total Words Typed by Candidate = 282

Full Mistakes = 9

Half Mistakes = 4

Total Typed Words are less than 300 so board will not evaluates typing test.

Verdict = Not Qualified
